About Twunami

Twunami is a Twitter Desktop Application designed with the individual and the business professional in mind. It is a combination of basic and advanced features designed for most Twitter users.

In the engine rooms we've got 15+ years of development experience, 20+ years of advertising and marketing experience plus, 14+ years of Internet marketing experience combined into one solid hull structure.

We're going to provide you with application features that have yet to be developed for Twitter users. Our goal is to set a new benchmark in feature rich applications for services such as Twitter.

Twunami is our first publicly available Desktop Application. Our underlying platform technology can be utilized as a communication management medium for many similar services. Twitter is going to be our primary focus right now, we're Twitterholics.

Twunami Advanced Features (Partial Listing)

Full Featured Desktop Application - Twunami works seamlessly with your operating system (OS) to provide unprecedented Twitter Timeline management. Twunami is not built on the AIR platform.
Twunami Security - The application is as secure as your system is. This is a fully functional desktop application.
The Tweet Workspace - You can customize your Twunami experience or use our default Workspace which will be refined by Alpha testers in upcoming weeks.
API Call Management - We're going to utilize your API Calls for maximum efficiency and provide you with an API Call Ticker so you can see exactly where your usage is at any given moment. We'll make sure you're getting the most of your allotted usage using the Twunami Queue. Think GREEN!
Twitter Search Optimization - We refer to it as semantic engagement optimization (SEO) or visitor engagement optimization (VEO) and it is at the forefront of everything we're doing. Twunami assists you with Front Loading, Back Loading, Title Optimization, and overall Tweet construction for initial maximum visibility and management of long term trickle down effects e.g. longevity of PermaTweets.
URI Non-Conversion logic if destination URI meets certain criteria. Maintain your domain brand and avoid conversions. Extremely important from a Twitter Search perspective.
If URIs do not meet criteria for non-conversion, use any one of many popular URI shortening services to be determined during Alpha phase.

URI Shortening Services - Send your requests now via DM to @Twunami to be included in the default list. You MUST be using a single 301 permanent redirect and MUST NOT frame the destination content.
Built in URI Shortener - If you absolutely have to shorten URIs, in addition to having access to use the most popular providers in this area, we will also be offering our own shortening services (Suites) to be launched under http://Twuna.com/
Twunami can be configured to work with your own URI Shortening logic. This is an advanced feature which may require additional programming.
Twitter Timeline Analytics - We are currently refining logic for initial baseline metrics. Advanced analytics will be available via our add-on Suites.
Twitter Search Management - Monitor campaigns, hash tags, mentions, trends, etc. all from within your Twunami Client. You configure your Workspace. We provide the default.
Peer to Peer Communications - Multi-layered for advanced functionality. Twunami will incorporate a communication medium between application users for advanced information management and retrieval.
Twunami Application Abuse Monitoring - Twunami requires registration and a free license to use the basic application. We will be providing options to report application abuse which will be investigated promptly.
This application IS NOT for Twitter abuse. The Twunami user community will determine what is and what isn't abuse. We do have an outline of what we classify as application abuse.
Twunami Whitelist - We're working towards providing a rich interface for detecting, minimizing and/or eliminating unwanted activities within your Twitter Timeline.
Twunami Twutors - We expect the application and its feature rich Suites to be a BIG success and have secured the domains Twutor.com and Twutors.com to fill a niche requirement for application education.
Twunami Domains - We've also secured 100+ related domains for further development. Many of these will be part of the Twunami Suites.

Alpha Release Date

We do not have an official Alpha Release Date as of ~~2009-04-12~~ 2009-06-03. Based on current progress and our dynamic list of new features, we may need to go into an Organic Pre-Alpha with a select group of Twitterers. We can then expand to a broader group of Alpha testers for further refinements prior to Beta release.
